A Day of Learning with Rav Mosheh Lichtenstein
The Jewish Ethics Project is honoured to welcome Rav Mosheh Lichtenstein, co-rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Har Etzion (Gush), for a day of learning culminating in a central evening conversation with Dayan Eliezer Zobin on “Ethical Urgency: Torah in a World of Crisis”.
The day programme offers an opportunity for in-depth engagement with key themes in Jewish ethics through guided chavruta learning, shiurim, and discussions. Participants will explore questions of universalism, moral responsibility, and the place of Torah in addressing contemporary global challenges, alongside a panel examining Jewish ethical responses in practice, including the Uyghur crisis.
The focal point of the event is the evening debate between Rav Mosheh Lichtenstein and Dayan Eliezer Zobin, which will consider how Jewish ethical thought speaks beyond the boundaries of the community and responds to the moral demands of today’s world. This conversation promises a dynamic and thought-provoking exchange between two leading voices deeply engaged in questions of halacha, ethics, and communal responsibility.
Together, the day and evening programmes offer a rare opportunity to combine serious Torah learning with meaningful reflection on some of the most urgent ethical issues of our time.
